Adulting is Hard

Can anyone else relate to this meme that has been circulating social media the last couple of years???

I CAN.

Let’s just alllll say it together… /deep breath/ “adulting IS hard”.

We could go on and on as to why it’s just SO hard to adult sometimes.

These days, MONEY seems to be the root of the adulting crisis.

I wasn’t gifted with a mind for numbers, and there were many times /let’s be honest/, I was not paying much attention in that college statistics class *AKA – “Must pass go to collect degree” class*.

Money is hard to make, and even harder to keep.

Also, a lot of us were just not taught about money when we were young. It was almost an uncomfortable topic. And maybe our parents didn’t know much about it either. Now, we dodge the idea of a budget, charge to credit cards when we don’t have the funds, and survive from paycheck to paycheck.

We’re actually trying to “wing –it” and hoping for the best!

With this method, our children aren’t getting a good look into financial planning. The cycle could continue generation after generation, OR we could empower our children with the tools necessary to make their “adulting” experience a little less difficult.

This Christmas, the best gift we can give our children is a demonstration of how to better manage money.
